Social Media
One of the 2020 Graphically Deb resolutions is--To learn to effectively use Instagram. I hear about it all the time, seems to be the cool alternative to Facebook.. but really have no idea the point of it, or how to really USE IT!
Something Learned!
Some businesses use Instagram in the same manner as a personal communication platform. Others put together posts that are more of a true ad. Seems that there is something to be said for doing some of both.
At its most basic, Instagram is a social networking platform, program or app made for sharing photos and videos primarily from a mobile device. Similar to Facebook or Twitter, everyone who creates an Instagram account has a profile and a news feed. And that is where my current knowledge of Instagram ends. On a mission to MOVE FORWARD from Here!
Doing some research here was a discovery that can't be unseen. So much hard work down the tubes by a Instagram user. She has taken that terribly hard lesson and turned it into a shared experience that we all can learn from. Gia Monae, has a boutique business that she has grown over the course of years. A lot of her business is done online. This is an accounting of how she lost her Instagram Account, and the followers she had brought to her company.
There is so much information online to help entrepreneurs increase skills. Often, it allows you to bypass errors entirely, or at the very least take the pain down a few notches as you live through consequences of building your experience. Hopefully, the result will be that you will be on the good side of small business statistics and fail rates.
One of the most important things you can learn is that running and growing a business is not a 9-5 job. It is more hours and more than a job. ALWAYS BE LEARNING... Have videos in the que, books on your bed table and until you are comfortably established don't waste any down time you have. :)
